This game is so close to perfect for me, the only thing holding it back is the entire campaign. If you are playing gears for the story this is undoubtedly one of the most boring, lame, unintuitive snoozers of the entire series. The characters are generic, the story feels like it was patched together as a cash grab and nothing they added at all even interested me in the slightest. I mean for gods sake i got stuck on a mission for 2 hours because I had to shoot an invisible wall due to a bug. Its horrible. But my god the gunplay is unreal, I have logged an insane amount of hours in the multiplayer of this game alone, and without a shadow of a doubt it has the best horde mode in the entire series. It is genuinely perfect. The role system is phenomonal and its just the right balance of arcadey but still serious, it adds so much variety to a gamemode that easily gets stale. I spent whole summers playing only this game and had some of the best memories of my life on it.
