While the shift to RPG style gameplay from the brawler style gameplay may be jarring for long time fans, this game truly has all you could want. While the core RPG turn based gameplay is admittedly barebones, everything else makes up for it spades. Amazing protagonist, well written side characters, amazing voice acting in both dubs, three large maps, side content for days, and I could go on. Even the lackluster combat is made infinitely better just by how crazy and stupid it can be. It’s an amazing game for those familiar with the series, and is another amazing launching off point for new players, and well worth the 60 or so hour run time, with emotional moments that will stick with you for a while.
