I truly do wish the open zone segments, tower trials, and final boss were good because everything else here actually makes me feel something. When I see Sonic activate his new power I get excited, when I see the special combo as he slams into the final boss and stand over it, akin to Super Saiyan 2 Gohan standing over the Cell Jr's I get goosebumps. But everything else here that is supposed to make a game, y'know, a GAME is half baked or worse.
