anyone who knows me knows how my insistance on playing this game through, despite not enjoying it, and in one night, got me unnecessarily moody. now that i'm not so hard on my own ability to finish video games, i've somewhat made peace with it.
i still think it's highly flawed with its absurd level lengths, cheap bosses and enemies, clunky momentum, and even a game-breaking bug that softlocks you right after beating edgar ektor. but, there's a quite a bit here to enjoy. it's highly creative with its settings and batshit plot, the music is not something to be scoffed at, and the animation here is charming. it's one of those games that is almost a hidden gem, but sadly doesn't quite make it.
