Great political intrigue/war story in a well-defined medieval-ish world with fun and pretty deep turn based tactics combat. Definitely more story than character-driven but still managed some really memorable characters, though a lot of the little stories you unlock for the optional units (the ones who never appear in cutscenes) are a bit shallow. Also wish it were faster to get to the new scenes/battles in ng+ playthroughs - kinda tedious if you're trying to experience every branching path and ending. The English voice acting was super hit or miss, felt like they were just talking to the air not each other a lot of the time too. Benedict was my boy, both my favorite character and voice

Lastly fuck the Roland ending, doing that one last sucked lol. Frederica's reaction broke my heart dude. I also just couldn't take it seriously that Serenoa would've gone along with it, runs so contrary to who he is in the rest of the game imo.

Oh yeah also does it really only take a few days to travel from Hyzante to Aesfrost (presumably on horseback)? I noticed it when a scene that started with, "Several days later..." had our gang travelling from Aesfrost to the Hierophant's palace in Hyzante. That's a really tiny world they're occupying if so, with extremely dramatic climate biome changes lol
