I think the game makes the jump to the SNES pretty alright, it's pretty, I like a lot of the sprite art, and I like the slightly heavier focus on a narrative. Not by much, but I do like the presentation effort, and the game got a few chuckles out of me every now and then.

I do think Mega Man controls like a slight bit worse, mainly the jumps feel a little stickier, and it feels a little too easy to accidentally slide when I don't want to, leading to a lot more deaths. That being said, I like the addition of Otto's shop, having a way to get some of these items that doesn't require backtracking is nice. I did that anyways because I wanted the Protoshield, but yeah.

Overall I think a lot of the stages, bosses both Robot Masters and Wily Castle, and even the weapons to be hit and miss. There's some pretty good stuff all around in terms of bosses, I really like Burst Man, Freeze Man, the second Bass Fight, and Wily Capsule 4, but I'm pretty split if not outright discontent with some of the other bosses in this game. Examples include Mash, Slash Man, Shade Man, and especially the Hannya robot right before the robot master refights. And the weapons are pretty ok. I like the thunderbolt, I like the noise crushes' method of charging, and I really like the Super Adapter. It feels like they took some of the parts from 6's adapters and put them into one. That being said, the Danger Wrap and Scorch Wheel do feel kind of bad to use.

I dunno, I like this game a bit less than two, because when the good moments are good, it's really fun. But there's just a few too many nitpicks or thinks I dislike to put it higher for me. Anyways as typical, here's my boss ranking.
