For my money still the best in the trilogy, adding much needed depth to the combat, an entire set of systems to do with the batmobile that expand the gameplay hugely. It also surpasses City in its level design, where city felt like a set of systems designed for a metroidvania that ended up feeling very clunky in an open world, but here the traversal has been overhauled specifically to work in the open-world.

And it's a fantastic open-world, bursting at the seams with content and challenges, which would be the highlight of the game if not for the best executed story in the trilogy, bought to life by art design and graphical fidelity that still holds up as outstanding to this day.

The only weakness is that some of the vehicle combat is overused and gets tedious, as does some of the combat in the final few missions in the story, where difficulty spikes largely due to a 'just add more enemies' difficulty philosophy.

Other than that though, this is the best the series has to offer, and a fantastic ending for one of the best trilogies in gaming.
