Capturing Pokemon is an incredibly good time and it felt like the first truly fresh thing introduced to a Pokemon game since the very beginning. But everything other than capturing Pokemon felt like a boring slog to me and I couldn't be bothered to finish this. I sincerely hope they continue down this path and make a more fully complete version of the vision that was here.
