Even more long-winded and makes even less sense than anything Kojima ever did. The main character in a pilgrim’s outfit and wheelchair and huge sniper rifle and his interactions with the main villain would have been cool if they were ever anything except anime-cryptic like at least once. My favorite part is the supposed emotional climax with everything leading up to the shocking revelation that one of the blank ciphers finally remembers that he killed the other six blank ciphers in the past, and it’s sad I guess? Depending on how you play, you can get one of two possible endings, where either the US destroys Japan for some reason, or Japan destroys the US instead, also for some reason.

Aside from all that I suppose I didn’t hate it. The luchadore guy was pretty cool!
