Having recently played Omori, I believe my patience for this sort of cutesy retro RPG experience is on an all-time low... which further highlights just how enjoyable Deltarune: Chapter 2 is as narrative and mechanical experience. Toby Fox & Co. just excel at this stuff. They know when to make you care, when to make you laugh, when to crush your chest in, and -- if you have the stomach and patience for it (cough cough Snowgrave route) -- when to chill you down to the fucking marrow. Love love love it.
