Easily the most underrated Nintendo game and the best game on the 3DS.Everything about this game is full of charm and creativity, from the fantastic writing and characters to the unique and memorable locations and enemies.Gameplay is really fast paced and fun too.First of all,i don't really think the controls are bad, they aren't ideal, sure, but they did the best they could with the hardware limitations.Control feels very precise, responsive and satisfying, dodging with the analog and aiming with the stylus became second nature to me after a couple of chapters, combining these solid mechanics with great level design and bosses, gameplay loop is always far from being boring. But i can understand the people who just couldn't get used to the controls.
But the best part about the game imo are the cast and humor, every single character in this game is just so likeable and fun with a great sense of humor(Especially Hades,he is just the GOAT villain),it's impossible not to love them,i don't remember the last time i missed the characters of a game after i finished it.
I also love the approach to the difficulty of this game, setting the difficulty via a slider is a fantastic idea for accessibility, and it's really fun to challenge yourself with different difficulty settings, my only complaint is that every time you die, difficulty drops significantly, this game is like x2 more fun when it's challenging imo, and the fact that dying takes away that challenge is just stupid, this should have been just an option
But overall, i had a lot of fun with this game,i can confidantly say that this is a must play for 3DS owners
