The winding pieces of the story of the Obra Dinn scattered throughout the last moments of dead men. Solving these mysteries along with the visual and audio presentation makes Return of the Obra Dinn one the most interesting and unique games ever developed, along with it being one of the few 'true' detective games.

I have high praise for the game, but it doesn't make it quite perfect. The last handful of crew that must be identified feels more like random guessing than actually piecing together any clues, or perhaps the clues were just too obtuse to discover.
While each mystery is often engaging the narrative as a whole isn't quite as satisfying as I'd like.
