Visually the game looks great, the ssj color transformation is questionable as it looks like the regular ssj form looks like cheddar cheese instead of the regular light-white-yellow that regular ssj has.

The amount of characters is amazing, though it doesn't quiet reach the level of the likes of Budokai Tenkaichi 2 or Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Mostly because the characters chosen are just from Dragon Ball Z, and not from Original Dragon Ball or Dragon Ball GT.

The game is both really fun to play and see the super moves. Most Ultimates can be performed both regular and special, special being if you have certain characters in your party who share an iconic moment in Dragon Ball Z.

These include Goku giving Krilliin the Spirit Bomb, him throwing it and missing, and having Gohan deflect it back towards Vegeta.
Another being brothers Kamehameha with Gohan and Goten from Broly Second coming.
Piccolo and Goku Ultimate vs Raditz where Goku sacrifices himself to kill him and his brother Raditz

etc.

The game lacks a campaign mode considering that the first game featured a campaign mode, which i understand would be a retread of the previous game. Only thing is that I honestly feel what will hold back people from wanting to unlock all the characters is the "Galaxy mode" where essentially there are these lines of missions for each specific character... for all 66 characters (even though the game stresses there is over 100, it's more so it's taking into account the transformations of certain characters like Goku with SSJ1-3, Teen Gohan 1-2, Vegeta 1-2, Frieza forms 1-4 + full power, Cell 1-3, Super Buu Gotenks and Gohan Absorbed, etc. In reality it's just 66 characters some having transformations)

Galaxy mode isn't a story mode, it's essentially a objective based missions to mostly unlock new Ultimate moves for certain characters like Goku's Super Spirit Bomb as well as other super and ulitmate moves. Also Galaxy mode is the only way to unlock certain characters with some unlocking random characters with no rhyme or reason as to why a certain character would unlock another character they have nothing to do with in the shows or movie.

Certain missions are very fun in terms of time attacks where you have to defeat a party of characters in a certain amount of time, or defeat a character without having your dragon soul run out, and endless mode where you have to defeat a set number of enemies, while your health drains, but even after you pass the correct amount you can continue to play the mission even after because the only way to finish the mission is to get knocked out by the opponents, SSJ3 Broly completely breaks this mode because of how strong his ultimate attack is. Same goes for Kid Buu who has his sleep ability which allows him to regain health even after it's been depleted, and because the developers never thought to have it continue to deplete if the players were to use Kid Buu's sleep ability, you can essentially restore your health and continue the endless mission.

The worst galaxy mission though, is the 1 hit mission, pretty much you get hit once, it's over. Usually what makes this mission rage inducing isnt the fact that you have to fight a single opponent, it FORCES YOU to fight 3-5 opponents WITHOUT any opportunity to heal, you get hit once and it's over. Doesn't matter how much time you spent fighting the characters, 1 hit equals death. It does not help that the AI is smart enough to exploit this by using regular key blasts that are sometimes to fast to block, so one of them will make contact. These types of missions are dreadful and feel a lot of people will agree.

This game certainly is great for those of you who love Dragon Ball Z only. It also features 4 new comer characters in Tarble (Vegeta's Little Brother), SSJ3 Broly (a character mostly seen in the Japanese card game Super Dragon Ball Heroes), SSJ3 Vegeta (a character mostly seen in the Japanese card game Super Dragon Ball Heroes), and Hatchiyack (a character special to Raging Blast 2 as it's his only appearance in a console game since, who can be obtained after watching the PLAN TO ERADICATE THE SAIYANS remake movie included in the extras menu of this game.

This game has a lot of nostalgia factor for me, but now I can kind of see that it's not as good as I remember, still a really great Dragon Ball fighting game if you purely just want Dragon Ball Z.
