Bloodborne is great. Yes it'll kick your ass but it's very fair about it. The best part of Bloodborne is the world design. Yharnam is such a cool play to roam around and unlock shortcuts and discover the new areas and enemy types.

I sadly think the areas after central Yharnam don't reach the same levels of detail and intrigue and bosses after the first handful start to get less interesting in concept and in difficulty. I think if they made every other area a little shorter in length and maybe combined a few bosses together the game would benefit from it.

This is the best Souls game to start with. If your interested in the series but nervous about jumping in, play this one and help you adapt to the Souls style of gameplay.
