This made me really upset. Inevitably, some people will think that this is an accurate representation of the original Ninja Gaiden 2 which is so unfortunate. In a vacuum, Sigma 2 is a decent action title but in the context of the series as a whole, this kinda sucks. The original Ninja Gaiden 2, for all it's faults, did still absolutely succeed in it's attempt to make the most bat-shit insane, challenging, absurd, and intense action game ever. While Sigma 2 does smooth over some of it's faults, it also lacks the direction and intent of the 360 version. On top of that, it makes a few baffling changes that only serve to undermine what it's going for. How unfortunate.

the weapon leveling system is so shockingly bad. Sigma 2 would be fine, but that more than the enemy count reduction kills any desire i have to play it.

@gruel Yeah, it seems like they knew that too because air combos can be performed without leveling up your weapon. I think it was probably the original way at first until they realized late in development that the player wouldn't be able to afford enough stuff because of the fewer enemies, and without time left to change the shop system to account for this they decided to make weapon upgrades free at specific shops. I haven't seen pre-release footage of Sigma 2 or anything, it just seems like a logical explanation as to why they didn't catch the problem with this.
