VF2 and DOA are so tricky to compare against one-another. I think the really floaty jumping of VF is what makes me lean towards DOA3 as my favorite 3D fighter, even though I think DOA can be way too defensive at times. Dead Or Alive also has Ryu Hayabusa, which is a big point towards it.
