Probably in my top 5 2D platformers ever, and if we're not counting Yoshi's Island (I see both sides of that argument) this is the best 2D Mario game. Essentially Mario 3D World 2: This Time in 2D, Wonder brings the production value and wealth of creativity 3D Mario has always had back to the 2D series that had lost it for almost two decades. All killer, no filler, just pure joy from start to finish. Even with signs that this one would be different, after 4 straight games of New series mid I was unprepared for how fantastic this ended up being. (maybe work on those boss fights still).

It's actually really funny you say no filler cuz I think it has tons of it with the little tiny courses and the seed houses. Just feels like filler where there could have been actually stages lol but that's jus me

@NOWITSREYNTIME17 I felt those were more pace breakers than "filler" in the sense that I never got the sense those were taking the place of a regular stage but more were a chance to take a second and do something a little different
I guess I just wish a lot of them didnt take 5 seconds to beat, just was hoping for more actual stages was all. I do like how experimental it is tho
