Mechanically the best game in the series, but the tone of the plot feels like an extreme overcorrection on 4's wacky sardine one-liners. There's definitely cool moments and I appreciate what it tries to do as a prequel though.

What the hell, spike? what the actual hell. why. What is this? like why? tell me, why? explain. What compelled them to release this? gameplay was kinda fun tho.

i finished the first trial, dropped it, and then when i tried to play it again months later the dialogue got so grating that i just couldn't do it. why did i like this game
