My how the tables have turned. When I first played this game I found it solid, but this second playthrough years later has left me a bit sour. The story is very bland, almost pointless. Gameplay is fine, but not really an improvement over Halo 3. The armor abilities don't really add anything in single player, and your teammates' AI is exceptionally fucking stupid, even compared to the paste-swillers in the previous games. There are some fun levels and setpieces though, so it's not like it's an utterly horrible game or anything.
