Replayed with the RE4 HD Project, mouse turning from re4_tweaks and the "Modern" mouse aiming option (why the FUCK is good mouse aiming optional) and, wouldn't you know it, I actually found myself having fun with it! Who would have thought that controls that don't completely blow could improve a game? Still not my favoritest most bestest game ever (not with those fucking obnoxious QTEs) but I've gained a new tolerance for it, albeit under those specific circumstances. I think, much like with Final Fantasy VII, I hold the negative impact it had on video games as a whole in contempt more than the game itself.
