I didn’t think that I could love Metroid more than I have but Dread brought my appreciation of the series to a new level.

Movement and combat is as tight and smooth as always. Enemies are solid and boss battles are sublime. Level design is great as always.

The atmosphere in this game was Metroid Fusion level which was very enjoyable. The EMMIs were great bosses that added an extra layer of anxiety to the game.

Lastly, the game is beautiful graphically. The cinematics felt very Metroid Prime-esque. Dread feels like an amalgamation of all the the things that I love about the Metroid games ❤️
