A new bar for the stealth genre. Hitman provides so much freedom and so many opportunities take out your target in these intricately designed sandboxes. The locations you visit on this globetrotting adventure are stunning and IO interactive have done a fantastic job in recreating each of these. The level design is second to none and the organic narrative within each of these is so clever. The only hiccups are Colarado which feels more restrictive and generic than the rest of the sandboxes and the barebones story which only really picks ups steam towards the end. But you’re not here for the story, you’re here to kick a toilet onto a Generals head as he listens to his guards bitch about him on the speaker you turned on behind their backs. This game doesn’t take itself seriously and I’m all for it.
