Weapon durability isn't an issue regardless of what people say, the real issue is having to constantly pause the game to siphon through your inventory.
An easy way to have minimized this issue was to just allow link to equip two or three weapons, shield and bow at once and allow you to quickly switch through them with right and left d-pad and if you hold light or right d-pad then it brings up the inventory the same way it does now.
Beat in 83 hours 33 minutes. Still content left, but I did 92 shrines at this point, got 100 korok seeds, master cycle zero and the more powerful versions of my powers and rune abilities.
