so I beat the first game and bought this on release literally as it came out so I could have my own objective opinion and feelings and the only positive points I have are the sheer amount of accessibility options for players which can only be a good thing that I think western devs have a monopoly on. Other than that it was, well, shit/boring lol. Will never understand why people see this series as one of the shining jewels in the industry

same as the first game, I think the overall plot of tlou serves better as a TV medium and I'll deffo tune in for season 2 when it drops

interesting thoughts that I must unfortunately disagree with. this game is an excellent third person shooter title with some of the most visceral and impactful gunplay in the genre. as I mentioned in my own review, the narrative is also excellent but damaged by its incredibly lackluster ending. if you feel like you’ve truly tapped everything out of this game i get it, but it may be worth further consideration and examination.

The combat is boring and generic like every other cover based shooter with some lazy stealth mixed in. It's serviceable, but not great. I honestly don't get the love for these games, they are generic gameplay wise and use trauma porn at every turn. I liked Ellie as a character until they ruined her in the sequel, so there's really not much worthwhile in this series anymore.
