This game is the best Computer version of Harry Potter, but it nearly wasn't. The Story is the same as the movie, but with non tense moments removed like the first game, this game suffers less from it due to the more tense overall story, though some problems I have noticed include, not explaining what Floo Powder is, why didn't Harry say that the Slytherin boy knocked the vase over? . The Characters are the same as the last game, or the same as the movie/book if they weren't in the last game. The Graphics are in the same style as the first game, but the backgrounds art style make them look improved from last time. The Gameplay has you follow each story point, collect items, and explore the castle, but this time, you can do it more than once, now because it has the same engine as the first game, some problems from the first game return, most noticeably the tank controls,
and some huge downgrades this game gave include the spell minigame is made inferior with having to press buttons you see coming at the right time, and the spell challenge is now on a timer, meaning you can't take your time and enjoy the lovely environment, throwing gnomes into holes shouldn't work when the hole is on the wall not the ground, and they can walk right back out again, Quidditch also no longer requires flying into rings, there was a section where I thought I had to avoid being seen by Snape, but I didn't need to, beans are used a lot LESS useful this time, dueling is too easy, and why do you need to Skurge Peeves when you could Flipendo him in the first game? also there was a moment when Harry survives a 7 Story fall somehow. The Music is wonderful, adds more atmosphere than last time. Chamber of Secrets on the Computer is a test in how much stuff you can make inferior, that can be made up for in other superiorities.
