This Amazing Spiderman game is not amazing, now I call that false advertising. The Story takes place after the film, which is fine, and has the lizard virus get out, Spiderman has to break out Dr. Connors to find a cure, for the infected, including Gwen Stacy, this is an alright story for Spiderman to handle, but the ending is weird, with Spiderman being called the city's savior when him being in Beloit causes the virus breakout in the first place, and 1 of the main characters feels off to me. The Characters are about the same as they are in the movie, with less time on them except Spiderman and the character of Whitney Chang is alright, but not as fleshed out as she can be in this story, like the rest of the cast, and the villain of Alistaire Smythe does nothing for me, he helps Spiderman out at first, and asks him to give him an antidote to save people, but when he tests it on himself and it causes his legs to fail him, he blames Spiderman and becomes the opposite of what he was until him losing to Spiderman reverts him back, and after the credits he asks 1 of his helpers to kill him instead of taking the cure, which felt stupid and pointless, and his whole story there felt like they had to force a final boss battle villain out of him for gameplay purposes. The Graphics are alright, but could be more textured, on models, but the world looks generic, and reflections are off. The Gameplay has you swing around New York and as the game goes on, solve a few repetitive the more you do them side crimes, and there isn't any feel of heart or passion to make the crimes want to be played over again, and collecting comics and taking photos isn't worth it either, also the combat is copied from the Batman: Arkham games and they can lead to fun moments, but don't feel like the fun combat fans of the franchise like to play, and takes over the regular one, and gets repetitive with little heart in its level design swinging can be fun at first, but over time does get repetitive with nothing to do much with it, and you can swing from nothing again, (whenever), the ability to target where to land is fun use, and the shots when you are on buildings are great to look at, but you also can't die from falling off a building, leaving no tense free roaming. Music is very boring and forgettable, you shouldn't remember it after you played it, not that I recommend you do. Amazing Spiderman is bad and feels it was done for money and obligation instead of heart and creative ideas, bringing no expectations for the next game.
