Spider-man Miles Morales is very similar to it's PS4 predecessor in many ways which makes it already a great, wonderful game.

Miles is a rookie, unexperienced Spider-man and he still needs to understand first hand what being Spider-man means. Miles has to face multiple challenges such as dealing with his new double-life, hidding his secret identity to protect his beloved ones. He is constantly limit testing his unique skills and abilities while saving the city, constantly pushing himself as he tries to live up to the expectations of being Spider-man. All these conflicts make Miles a deeper, much more interesting character than Peter (sorry mate). Miles is also younger than him and has a completely different personality which you can already see by the way he fights and swings around New York.

Other aspects of the game, while improved by the PS5 console, are pretty much the same from the previous Marvel's Spider-man; New York is pretty much the same except now it's winter and there's snow all over tha place. The swinging and the combat is very similar too (only adding the new OP Venom attacks as a twist). Miles, the character, is the game changer here. He is the reason you might consider playing this game, and 'oh boy' is it worth it.

To sum up, Spider-man Miles Morales is a shorter, more condensed and more intense experience. The story is much lighter and there are less pointless collectibles and non-interesting secondary missions. Overall I think despite being very similar in many ways, Miles Moralesis a slightly better game than the original Marvel's Spider-man.
