It takes everything from the first game and makes it better. the writing is improved, so the dialogue comes off as extremely campy fun. The set pieces are awesome, the monsters are scary, I was jumpscared multiple times during my playthrough. The music is also top notch. They also made playing through with both characters extremely worth it. Definitely one of the top survival horror games I have played, and I highly recommend.
