Not great by any stretch, but I think I somehow got Stockholm syndromed into liking it? If that's even possible? It's really strange, if you like modern Persona, you probably won't like this game. If you're a hardcore RPG guy, you probably won't like this game either. It's such a weird, paradoxical game yet I still had some fun playing it. If there is one thing I can say for certain, is that this is the version you should play instead of the PS1 version.

the big problem with persona 1 is that it’s largely tedious and it just regurgitates a lot of early SMT tropes but worse than normal SMT games do them, but it hits you with something charming like a guy named Yog Sothoth Jr. Is that enough to make it worth while?? MAYBE NOT but it’s something
The story is fantastic. Check the manga out! It's a great adaptation and increased my appreciation for the game so much.
True still a 6.5-7/10 game for me though.
