A Hat In Time has great platforming mechanics but unfortunately it suffers from some real inconsistencies in the level design, having both masterfuly created levels like Battle of the Birds and Subcon Forest and really crappy/underwhelming ones like The Arctic Cruise and Alpine Skyline. Despite that, it's still a really good game with great music and a simple but really funny story full of great sense of humor. Really worth the try! And play it in co-op if you have the opportunity, it's surprisingly good
