A more atmospheric horror take on the formula, with the soul of Doom still intact.

An exciting step in the right direction for the series, and a return to the more serious toned stories of the 2000s. The open zones boast some of the best 3D controls for Sonic since they abandoned the Adventure formula for the Boost games. It's not perfect, but it does a lot better than some of the series' recent entries.

Just a SNES game on a Wii disc. Not worth seeking out unless you're a huge Mario fan or want the art book and soundtrack CD too.
