This is Gen Urobuchi's origin a best work.
I don't mean to denigrate all of his later career, but this masterpiece has everything he has going for it.

I like the picture of the old version better because it fits the style and has a unique atmosphere. I also prefer the voice acting in the PS2 version. (The voice actors these days... They all seem so standardized and boring!)
