I think enough has been said about this game's well-meaning but mostly misguided attempt to "gamify" mental illness and psychosis. But the experience of playing through this is deeply moving and unnerving (in the best way). While the puzzle and combat gameplay can be relatively simple, it's better to look at this as a walking-simulator-style game with a deep emphasis on its intense audiovisual presentation of a journey into hell. It's definitely flawed in many ways, but is so admirable in what its doing I can't help but love it in the end.
