Dang, I missed this game
Not sure how to structure these notes:

SPOILERS, obv


- I feel like Saber is becoming a more fleshed out character now -- "realistic" isn't the right word, but I'm glad that so much time is spent on her perspective of the war.
- Shirou's reflection of his character development was insanely helpful for my understanding of the story right now
- glad to see complete trust in saber and shirou's relationship now
- day 14? I believe, excited to see what this "date" is going to be
- the theme changing with the added drums or whatever was a little jarring but it helps signal that the end is (possibly) inevitably near
- so much time spent on reiterating the situation w people -> heroic spirits -> servants, it's of importance now but it seems like this will be a huge factor later since iirc they fully explain it at least 3 separate times.
- where is archer and the purple haired girl (sorry, it's been so long I forgot her name)
- is SHE archer's master??? wouldn't doubt it as a final development but still--

Lots of thoughts:

Didn't realise that I paused my gameplay right before a bunch of very important moments. Kind of took away some impact and the intimate connection I have with this game. I think I feel it most during the interludes.

The h-scene was a shock being so soon from my return and so close to everything else happening, but I guess that was expected. I thought it would be more tasteful though; its over indulgence took away from the more considerate aspects of the vn. It isn't a dealbreaker or anything though, of course, and it's good in its own ways

Going back to the personal connection thing, the scene that got me most emotionally was the second dream Shirou has about King Arthur. I think it ties most to sympathy, plus a greater culmination of my view toward Saber's character, that caused that reaction. Wasn't strong enough to cause anything, but it was definitely a return to my feelings from the beggining.
Also surprising given that I didn't get a similar reaction for even any character deaths thus far.

Also, that joke ending with the robot hands was such a shock. total SOVL

I really did complete a lot of this today so I'm already lost on what I haven't mentioned.

I feel that the game is nearing the end, in that the main events have already happened, and that's a bit sad. I thought there was much more, not saying there isn't, but I didn't expect to get to this point this soon. It IS is a VN though, so I could always replay.

UHH also I probably will play the remake if the rest of the H-scenes are like this, if so I totally understand the shift to cutting them out. But it seems vital to the story so I really am glad I played the original first. I had heard about 'mana transfer' after all so I wonder what they use as the replacement? Too errant a thought, I know.

I believe that's all. Would've played more but I think that's enough for one day.

Side note, the sound design in this is immaculate, really helps bring the emotion out.

The relationships are getting more interesting, I'm glad to get more insight on the characters

Really not sure if I made the right decision here... still loving the story though

Nevermind, I think my choice was right, or at least wasn't bad. :)
