Completed the Legendary Campaign, exotic quests and Raid now.

The narrative is filler which is one of two issues overshadowing the good parts of the campaign. The most consequential parts are either not built up enough because we have to take a detour for learning Strand or not explained enough because Lightfall isn't important enough for big reveals. Huge disappointment after Witch Queen and the seasonal build to this hyped it up so much.

The other issue with the campaign is that the final parts of the last two missions are over tuned in terms of difficulty on Legendary. They throw you into some insane conditions that beating these without some sort of cheese strategy isn't reasonable. Its a shame because the parts of those missions before these segments actually have some cool stuff. The six missions prior are also quite good mechanically but these last moments combined with the poor narrative direction taint how I feel about the campaign.

The raid is a bit disappointing mechanically. You can get through most of the encounters with only 1 or 2 players actually doing the mechanic while everyone add clears. As a result a large portion of people clearing will never really have understood how they even beat it. For those who have to do the mechanics most of the raid is a speed check rather then a dps check which is a interesting change but the lack of complexity in encounter design robs the raid of some satisfaction. It's art direction is wonderful though.

Otherwise most things in the expansion, whether it be "new" weapons or Neomuna, seem to be reskinned of existing assets which combined with how fillery the narrative seems just screams that they scrapped this together to give context to the delayed new subclass while buying time for the story they were originally going to tell which became The Final Shape.
