I hate to just say "weird" and move on, but it's really the most succinct way to put it. It's great at setting up an atmosphere and its aesthetics work really well in adding to that as an overall package. I appreciate that they kept the game short without it overstaying its welcome, but it does feel almost a bit too empty... to me it approximates having a point without feeling like there really is a one. For how short it is it's worth a shot, and I didn't dislike it, but it also didn't stand out to me either.
