I managed to get into this series via recommendation from my friend and out of pure curiosity, and I gotta say, this was a really surreal but still rather fun experience. Combat starts out simple but you unlock a ton of new abilities the more you level up, and depending on the build you're going for and what you equip you can entirely alter your playstyle and how you approach enemies, your companions Goofy and Donald offer nice support and a slew of extra abilities you can equip them with, and the bosses are really fun and incredibly climactic as well. There's a slew of extra content you can do outside of the main campaign: getting all the 101 Dalmations, opening all the treasure chests, fighting super hard optional bosses to power up your spells even further, get more cups in the Olympus Coliseum, etc

However, the game is far from perfect. The worlds you travel to represent different Disney worlds, and while visually they can be a treat, they're just not very well constructed. They never feel like they're actual worlds, they feel like they're cheap cardboard cutouts used for school plays (Wonderland in particular is especially guilty with this) and a lot of them are pretty obnoxious to travel through, like Deep Jungle and Hollow Bastion. I also think the Gummi Ship missions are flat out terrible and are just a complete bore to play in order to travel to new worlds, but beyond these issues I still think this is definitely worth checking out.
