thinking about this game again. to add some clarification to anyone who may care -
I am a huge Zelda fan
I dislike Breath of the Wild
I did every shrine in this game
I got all the Bubbul Gems
I got 400+ Korok seeds
I put over 200 hours into this game
I really wanted to give it a chance but it's just... Breath of the Wild again, with a (somehow) worse story, slightly better dungeons (not saying much), better minibosses, and somehow worse shrines

This game's Water Temple is the worst dungeon in any Zelda game I've played (10 or 11, i lost count). Also tied for the lamest final boss in the series, with none other Breath of the Wild

Also, I really did not care for the building mechanic. It's neat, I guess, but if I wanted to play a game where I can build complex machines I would play a game that's designed around that, like Kerbal Space Program or something. Not a Zelda game. I miss the more linear games with a focus on adventure instead of this sandbox stuff. I don't know who decided it would be a good idea Zelda should turn into a Great Value Garry's Mod but I really hope they aren't involved with the series going forwards
