I'm usually pretty lukewarm on Kirby games. They're cute, relaxing, and have good music but something about the gameplay never really clicked for me. It seems like all it took for me to really love a Kirby game was to put him in a 3D game and completely change how it controls.

Like, I'm still in shock from how good this game feels to play. I don't know if I've ever played a 3D platformer where once I'm done I think "I wish that game had more bosses," but Forgotten Land pulled that off. That's not to say that the levels themselves aren't good, because the level design is another huge standout here, but I'm just seriously surprised by how much fun the combat in a Kirby game is.
