The rush I got from blasting through rooms spamming attacks to keep my multipliers up is something that no other action RPG has ever provided for me, and it felt so good that I ended up doing an entire playthrough in one sitting. It almost feels like a game that exists completely out of time, like the design document could have been written in 1991 and it just collected dust until they had a chance to make it real, and I mean that in the best way possible.

I could wax on about how the story is as dry as eating a block of sandpaper, or about how the levels can be a bit repetitive, but at the end of the day it feels fucking good to play and that's all that matters.
