It feels there's a lot of people making parody games that seem to regurgitate the same common criticism thrown at the genre repeatedly. Also doesn't help that some of these developers don't even like the genre to begin with, like how some create a visual novels that are like "Visual Novels are soooo boring!" While it doesn't always have to be this way, I feel good parody games come from people who are actually invested in what they're parodying and thus have more nuance in what they're saying.

That was my exact problem with this game. I'm not a huge dating sim fan myself, but I can understand why people like them despite their flaws. This just felt like it was making fun of people for liking them.
