Masterpiece of horror that I do think peaks a bit early on (the school is fucking fastastic), Silent Hill 1 is an amazing experience from beginning to end that should be played as blind as possible. Can't believe this was on the PS1 so much of it is still impressive almost two decades later and the atmosphere might be some of the best I've seen in a horror game. If I had to criticize anything the game play itself is a bit simple and bosses feel sometimes too bullet spongy but everything else just makes the experience so worthwhile that I can't help but give this game my highest praise.
