If Specter Of Torment shows how well scaling things back does, King Of Cards is the opposite, with so much to do in comparison to any other part of Shovel Knight. Joustus is the obvious highlight here, being a fun and suprisingly deep card game that I am glad is completely optional. Gameplay wise I feel the levels being much shorter than most helps with King Knights faster playstyle, although I feel the early exit some levels have leads to repetition due to needing to complete stages anyways to go the intended route. Despite these minor issues King Of Cards is still the second best part of Shovel Knight and caps off Shovel Knight in phenomenal fashion.
