One of a few games I've emulated this year where I know I'd be much hotter on this on real hardware where its design limitations relative to the tech I'm using to play it feel less prominent.

You walk right, you slash, you don't get hit. You're big, and you move like an Earnest Evans-y puppet. It's a very limited game in design and scope, but this framing makes it feel kinda like a martial arts skirmish against a theatre backdrop. The moments of slowing down, memorizing enemy behavior, and landing those careful hits are comparable to something like Castlevania 1 or Splatterhouse.

If I had played this on the good ol' CRT I could see myself raising this a point or two. I'm curious how this game's odd color choices would look through filtering.
