Gameboy jank aside, SML2 still holds up ok honestly, it's not like it's a must-play essential of the series or anything but unlike a lot of other Mario 2D platformers, the level variety is really solid with some actual different themes which i respect.

Carrot wings are pretty neat, even if they do just feel like a worse Tanooki.
