I mean...I can't fault them too much given the tech they were working with, but this is still a pretty dire game to actually play.

The customisation is ok for the limitations - 4 types of bodywork, motors, weapons and gearboxes, but it all boils down to a game of awkward driving and button mashing, made long and frustrating by some really bad hitboxes that just never seem to line up right.

Fights between robots have no time limit, so the best way to end a battle quickly is to trick the AI opponent into driving onto the flame pit, which almost instantly kills. There's a decent amount of playable robots from the show, but they all look weird and no weapon has any real advantage over another.

Also, Dead Metal is inexplicably pink. Sure, Dead Metal was originally going to be pink in the first series, but a.) that didn't end up happening, and b.) that was 3 years before this game came out, so no idea how they screwed that up.
