One of the worst Sherlock Holmes games I've played, quite simply.

The story is uninteresting, the characters are not endearing. There is no canon conclusion to the cases, even the main one!
We can make choices sometimes but it has no impact on the rest of the story, so there is no point (except to win 2 or 3 steam achievements...)

The game's graphics are nothing special, the characters have no expression, and you can see that the few head models are reused everywhere.

I found the investigation system too complicated, impossible for me to play the game without a guide nearby. And then I just wanted to finish this game so I didn't bother

Why make an open world? There are not that many cases (which are as uninteresting as possible) and I find that there is a glaring lack of mini-map: I had to spam the pause key to be able to find my way on the map.

The music is redundant, especially that of the combat mode, which is actually THE worst gameplay element of the game: for me we could have done without it.
The arenas have the same shape, the means to knock out enemies are strange: why have to remove portoections from the arms and legs before being able to knock them out? Where is the logic ? Not to mention the only music during this phase which is just horribly redundant, and the 2 sentences repeated in a loop by Jon (a character who is also completely uninteresting)

I also find that we don't get attached to the characters at all, even Sherlock.

In conclusion, unless you want to play all the Sherlock Holmes games (which is my case) I strongly advise against this game (and don't bother buying the DLCs, which provide nothing apart from a 5 min game investigation )

I advise you instead to play "The Testament of Sherlock Holmes" and "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishment" which are for me the two best Sherlock games to date.
