A sequel to Breath of the Wild was an incredibly high standard to match. Tears of the Kingdom was a highly anticipated sequel for years, and ultimately the game experience is another Breath of the Wild. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, if the formula ain't broke then don't fix it! The game innovates the classic formula by introducing two new full areas to explore on top of the newly transformed Hyrule. It's a lot of fun to visit old locations and see how they've dramatically shifted from the previous game! The depths and sky islands are trickier to navigate, but there's still plenty to find in both. Ultimately, I think there was oppertunity for more innovation, but fans of Breath of the Wild will absolutely love this game, and it heavily expands on what was already there.
