This game, in the context of its core gameplay and systems, is a step up from the Handsome Jack Era in every single way. However, what it lacks is any compelling narrative, themes or characters. Whilst its nice seeing Lilith and Claptrap again, the game decides to add the most insufferable antagonist of all time being Tyrene (i think that was her name). Tyrene is one half of a set of twins that lead a cult of bandits, the other half is her brother who is so interesting and complex i forgot his name. if this game played like borderlands 2 it would get 1 star.
