I haven't played any Suda51 game prior to this one. The gameplay is where the game shines for me: it isn't deep, camera can be frustrating during fights and people here seem to find it repetitive but it's so snappy and satisfying to hit and dodge things it that pushed me to actually complete the game after shelving it for a year and a half.

I found this game's visual style very nice, although I think I would've enjoyed it more if they didn't make the shadows a gradient filter that makes you constantly feel like you're looking at your monitor from an angle.

The confusing story and surface-level characters were the reasons why it was so hard for me to stay interested in the first place.
